Warehouse 5 Update!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to update everyone on what's happening with us. The roaster is 90% installed. Plumbing and propane are in! Exhaust is the final step and is scheduled for early this week. That will be a huge item off our mental to-do list.

FYI - we'll start running test batches through the new roaster later this week, and we'll be selling all test batch bags for $5. So if you want one or 5, message us or comment on this blog post. We can also do a 5lb bag for $30 if you want to stock up for winter.

We've also started work on our butcher block tasting bar that will house our coffee equipment and several customers. Will be the perfect space to test new coffees or post up and do some work. It's coming together nicely and should be ready to spill coffee on within a few weeks.

After the bar and roaster are in, we'll add a large entrance door and small deck along the back, install any additional electrical/plumbing/sinks/fridges/etc, and from there it's just a matter of aesthetics and decor. The idea is to maintain the industrial feel of the space. Let the brick, wood, and concrete shine while adding non invasive lighting/art/books.

The space will serve as a working roastery and tasting room, so customers can observe the roasting/packaging process as well as taste new coffees and experiemental drinks. There will be seating at the bar and along one of the walls with plenty of outlets for laptops. Tentative hours will be 6:30am - 1:00pm, then ideally open up later for anyone cramming for a test or work project.

If you have any suggestions for what you'd like to see in our roastery/tasting room, we're always open to suggestions.

Thanks!

  • Hi there,
I work nearby at Lanier High School and just found your shop. Are you guys open in the mornings as a Cafe to sell drinks?

    Just curious.
    Thanks!
